A.W. Oakes & Son has completed the transformation of Milwaukee’s South Shore Beach, delivering cleaner water, a stronger shoreline, and enhanced recreational space for the community. The revitalized beach — relocated 1,500 feet south to take advantage of improved water conditions — features over 35,000 tons of breakwater and shoreline armor stone and 13,000 tons of clean beach sand, creating a safe and inviting lakeshore.
